Talented 8-year-old pianist Yusufhan Çakır from Samsun received great acclaim for playing the ‘Turkish March’ in front of the Bandırma Ferry Museum. Pianist Çakır will represent Turkey at the 6th IPC International Piano Competition Istanbul Finals. Despite being only 8 years old, Yusufhan Çakır has achieved many international and national successes. Before going to the finals in Istanbul, Çakır, who will compete on behalf of Turkey, gave a mini concert in front of the Bandırma Ferry Museum in his hometown of Samsun. The performance of the young pianist playing Mozart’s Turkish March was well-received by the audience. The Samsun Governorship and Samsun Metropolitan Municipality shared videos of Yusufhan Çakır playing the piano, stating, ‘Yusufhan Çakır, an extraordinary talent who has achieved many international successes at a young age. He performed the Turkish March in front of the Bandırma Ferry with great skill, making us all proud. Our 8-year-old pianist from Samsun passed the 8th stage of the 8-level exam at the Royal Academy of the UK. He ranked third in the 8th International Mozart Academy Piano Competition. He won first place in the 4th National Golden Note Piano Competition. He performed with the Batumi Symphony Orchestra. He will represent our city and country in the 6th IPC International Piano Competition Istanbul Finals to be held on June 8-9, 2024.’ Samsun Metropolitan Municipality Mayor Halit Doğan shared a video of Çakır performing the Turkish March, saying, ‘Yusufhan Çakır is a talent who has opened up to the world at a young age. He mesmerizes us with his piano in front of the Bandırma Ferry. This time, we listen to the Turkish March from the great talent Yusufhan.’ The piano show by Yusufhan Çakır with the view of the Bandırma Ferry gained attention and admiration after the shares.
