Unforgettable concert from the Turkish Folk Music Choir of Antalya Courthouse

The Turkish Folk Music Choir, which continues its activities within the Antalya Courthouse, gave a concert and provided the guests with an unforgettable night. On the occasion of the 100th anniversary of the establishment of the Republic, the Turkish Folk Music Choir, which was established for the first time in the history of the Antalya Courthouse and consists of judges, courthouse staff, and lawyers working at the Antalya Courthouse, gave a concert that led to unforgettable moments. Conductor Şef Can Dursun, the Administrative Affairs Manager of the Antalya Courthouse, led the choir and instrumental team on stage. The choir started the concert with the folk song “Havalanma Telli Turnam” belonging to the great folk poet Aşık Veysel, who was included in the commemoration and celebration program by UNESCO in 2023 and the Presidential Decree, and continued with folk songs compiled from various regions of Anatolia. The choir, led with great mastery and precision by Şef Can Dursun, along with the instruments, dazzled with their harmonies, while the audience occasionally accompanied the choir in the magnificent night. The Turkish Folk Music choir, singing beautiful folk songs, was applauded for minutes by the audience with their dazzling performances. In the approximately 1.5-hour concert, the choir performed 18 pieces. At the end of the concert, Antalya Chief Public Prosecutor Yakup Ali Kahveci, in his speech, expressed his gratitude to the choir conductor, the valuable instrumental and vocal team of the choir, and everyone involved in organizing the event, saying “Our Antalya Courthouse Turkish Folk Music choir gave its first concert. The choir, detached from the heart of Anatolia, embroidered folk songs to us like a kilim. We had a very beautiful music feast tonight. I sincerely thank our choir conductor and the distinguished instrumental and vocal team of our choir, as well as everyone who contributed to the organization. This delegation consisting of our judges and courthouse staff along with lawyers honored us. As the Antalya Courthouse, we will always support such social activities. I thank our esteemed Governor, provincial protocol, valuable guests, and colleagues who participated in our program.” Following the speech, Antalya Governor Hulusi Şahin and Antalya Chief Public Prosecutor Yakup Ali Kahveci presented flowers to the Antalya Courthouse Turkish Folk Music choir conductor Can Dursun. The concert was attended by Antalya Governor Hulusi Şahin, Antalya Chief Public Prosecutor Yakup Ali Kahveci, President of the Antalya Judicial First Instance Court Justice Commission Oğuzhan Yaşar, President of the Regional Court of Justice Orhan Özdemir, President of the 3rd Administrative Court Erkan Atılı, President of the 4th Administrative Court Seyfettin Kara, President of the 2nd Tax Court Meriç Erdoğan, Rector of Antalya Science University Prof. Dr. Semih Ekercin, Muratpaşa District Governor Dr. Orhan Burhan, Provincial Gendarmerie Commander Brig. Gen. Tarık Hekimoğlu, Coast Guard Antalya Group Commander Lt. Col. Tolga Coşkun, Deputy Chief Public Prosecutors, Judges, Public Prosecutors, courthouse staff and their families, as well as many citizens.
