The ‘Free Palestine March’ was organized by the Çorum Palestine Platform to protest Israel’s massacres in Palestine. Thousands of people carrying Turkish and Palestinian flags and banners walked from the Governorship building to Liberty Square. After the recitation of the Quran, prayers were offered for those who lost their lives in Palestine. Speaking at the event held in Liberty Square after the march, Naim Eyyubi, the grandson of Saladin, said, ‘Israel’s target is not Rafah, not Gaza, not Jerusalem. The real goal is the Greater Israel Project.’ He emphasized that they gathered not to cry or mourn, but to make their voices heard to Zionist Israel. He stated their solidarity with the Al-Qassam Brigades and highlighted the struggle they have been enduring against the powerful Israeli army for 8 months without any support. He mentioned that despite the backing of America and Europe, the Zionist state has failed to break the determination of the Al-Qassam Brigades. Eyyubi declared that they will not compromise on the boycott within the framework of individual responsibilities, stressing that they will not purchase products of the opposition and will boycott ideas and ideologies imposed on them. He added that they will present their alternative based on Islam. Eyyubi reiterated that Israel’s ultimate goal is the Greater Israel Project, extending from the Euphrates to the Nile, covering parts of Syria, Iraq, Jordan, Lebanon, Egypt, and Southern Anatolia. He warned that Israel’s ambitions will not stop at Anadolu, and called for mobilization against this threat. The march was attended by Mayor Dr. Halil İbrahim Aşgın, Rector Prof. Dr. Ali Osman Öztürk of Hitit University, Naim Eyyubi, local political party leaders, members of the Çorum Palestine Platform, and citizens.
