To meet the need for roughage, which is the largest input of animal husbandry, and to increase the yield and quality of grass in the pasture areas in the city, a seed delivery ceremony was organized in front of the Bayburt Provincial Directorate of Agriculture and Forestry within the scope of ‘Pasture Rehabilitation and Management Projects’ carried out by the Bayburt Provincial Directorate of Agriculture and Forestry. 88 tons of clover seed, supported by 40% by the state, were distributed to 252 farmers. Deputy Governor Cem Gümrükçü, speaking at the seed delivery ceremony, said, ‘Today we will distribute 88 tons of clover seed to our producers. This is a Pasture Rehabilitation Project, within the project, the agricultural directorate continues its top dressing and artificial pasture facility works. They have brought the works to a certain point, and hopefully more will come. The distribution of clover seeds will not be limited to here, we will distribute clover seeds in the coming periods as well. I wish the best of luck to our producers and our province. This is a project supported by 40% by the state, I thank those who contributed to the project.’ In the program where 88 tons of clover seed with 40% grant support were distributed to 252 producers, Agriculture and Forestry Director Selami Ersen wished ease in the work to the benefiting producers and expressed his well wishes. Mustafa Çiğdem, a producer who received 125 kilograms of clover seed at the seed delivery ceremony, expressed his gratitude to the state for the 40% grant support provided for clover cultivation, saying, ‘I took my clover seeds from the Bayburt Provincial Directorate of Agriculture and Forestry to benefit from the supported clover cultivation. I received 125 kilograms of seeds. Everyone received their seeds here, best of luck to the producers. May Allah be pleased with our state.’ Additionally, within the project scope, so far, top dressing has been carried out on 350 decares of pasture areas in Bayburt to increase grass yield and quality, and artificial pasture areas have been established on 190 decares.
