At the Honor Night organized by the Bandırma Chamber of Commerce, all council members who have served since the establishment of the chamber came together. The opening speeches of the event, where old and new members met, were made by the Bandırma Chamber of Commerce Council President Funda Seçil Dedeoğlu and the Bandırma Chamber of Commerce Board Chairman Adem Yılmaz. In her speech, Council President Funda Seçil Dedeoğlu thanked everyone who has served the Bandırma Chamber of Commerce until today, saying, ‘I am always very pleased to be a member, and I am very proud to be with you at the Bandırma Chamber of Commerce Honor Night. Many people, starting from past presidents and council members, have contributed greatly to bringing our chamber to this stage. From our founding president to past council members and general secretaries, everyone who worked diligently deserves much gratitude for their contributions. Dear Participants, as the Bandırma Chamber of Commerce, we see secularism, the rule of law, impartial and independent judiciary, strong democracy, freedom of expression, and contemporary education as the guarantee of our people’s happiness, peace, and confidence in the future.’ He said, ‘Tonight will be remembered as an expression of our friendships and solidarity.’ Board Chairman Adem Yılmaz said, ‘Today, we are gathered here to remember the good days when we worked together in the past, shared memories, and supported each other, and to facilitate the acquaintance of all members who have served in different periods under the same roof. This organization will not only be remembered as a meal we ate around a table but also as an expression of our friendships and solidarity. I commemorate with mercy and gratitude all our elders, especially the founder of our chamber Yahya Sezai Uzay and his friends, who founded the Bandırma Chamber of Commerce, which is one of the established business organizations, and I wish long and healthy lives to the living ones. Bandırma Chamber of Commerce, which has reached the age of 98 and has become one of the city’s established institutions, has been one of the locomotive institutions in the development of Bandırma throughout this process. Today, with 98 professional committee members, 40 council members, 11 board members, and 10 staff serving 3136 members, Bandırma Chamber of Commerce will continue to grow and strengthen its strong structure it has maintained from the past.’ Plaques were presented to the council members who served the BTO. Following the opening speeches, plaques were presented to Süleyman Sel Erşen, Şaban Çiçek, Osman Kocaman, Özbek Birav, Muharrem İyianlar, Mehmet Kılkışlı, and Bahadır Çenberci, who served as the Chairman of the Board and Council at the Bandırma Chamber of Commerce. Then, plaques were presented to all council members who have served in the history of BTO. Plaques were presented to Turhan Çetinkal, who served as a council member for four terms starting in 1975, and to Erden Ulusoy, Dursun Karacan, Çetin Mete, H. Erdem Özcan, M. Cemal Öztaylan, Mustafa Zengin, Aşkın Kurt, Ahmet Koç, Ramazan Muslubaş, İlyas Ersen, Nevzat Süzen, Mustafa Tanyer, and Mehmet Akif Dişlikçi, who served as council members in various periods since 1981. After presenting plaques to a total of 103 people attending the event, the program ended with photo shoots and dinner.
