Anadolu University in Eskişehir bid farewell to the graduates of the 2023-2024 academic year, starting with its first ceremony for postgraduate graduates held at the Anadolu University Atatürk Culture and Art Center. The graduation ceremony of the postgraduate students of the 2023-2024 Academic Year Graduate School started with a concert by the State Conservatory.
“Our university is one of the leading postgraduate education centers in Turkey.” During the opening speech of the postgraduate students’ graduation ceremony, Anadolu University Rector Prof. Dr. Fuat Erdal expressed pride in the graduating students, stating, “Anadolu University, with its qualified academic staff and strong infrastructure, and considering the research priorities of the world, is today one of the leading postgraduate education centers in Turkey. Our university is an important higher education institution that has made significant contributions to the development of scientific research culture for the common welfare of humanity. Winning the most prestigious doctoral science awards in our country given by the Turkish Academy of Sciences within the framework of the world’s largest space, aviation, and technology event, TEKNOFEST, for the past 2 years consecutively, by our university students is one of the most important indicators of our leadership in postgraduate education. As distinguished members of our goal to contribute to the common welfare and happiness of our country and humanity, I am sure that you will advance our work with the scientific research culture you have gained at our university. I would like to congratulate the valuable academics of Anadolu University who have devotedly contributed to reaching the highest level of your academic accumulation, and the valuable families who have supported you with love and dedication. Dear graduates, I sincerely congratulate you and wish you all the best in your future endeavors.”
“All postgraduate schools at our university have merged and come together under one roof.” Director of the Graduate School, Prof. Dr. Saime Önce, said, “This year, we are graduating our first students as the Anadolu University Graduate School. About a year ago, all postgraduate schools at our university merged and came together under one roof. As a result of this merger, we are proud to provide education services to approximately 7,000 students. We have 67 main disciplines, 186 different programs, and 72 of them consist of doctoral and artistic competence. We have 87 thesis-based master’s programs, 6 evening education programs, and 21 distance education non-thesis master’s programs. Dear students, you have conducted studies and produced projects that contribute to academia, society, and art both nationally and internationally. I hope that you will continue to contribute to science, art, education, and academia in the future. Best of luck to all of you.”

“Congratulations to my fellow graduates.” Büket Şerefli Güney, a PhD Graduate of the Social Studies Education Program of the Turkish Language and Social Sciences Education Department of the Anadolu University Graduate School, said, “Today, as postgraduate students, we are experiencing the joy and pride of graduating. We have reached the end of this path by making various sacrifices. I hope this end will be a door to beautiful beginnings for all of us. Congratulations to my fellow graduates.”
Students who graduated with honors from the main branches received their graduation certificates and gifts from Rector Erdal. During the ceremony, postgraduate students who graduated were presented with graduation certificates by vice-rectors, senate members, and thesis advisors.
