The Mayor of Amasya, Lawyer Turgay Sevindi, said, ‘Our main duty is to serve the people of Amasya without discrimination. We are just at the beginning of the road. We have a lot of work to do. Our job is not to fight, our job is peace.’ Mentioning that the ancient city of Amasya, which has a history of 8,500 years and hosted 14 civilizations, will systematically plan to introduce Amasya to the world with all its values and leave beautiful works for future generations, Mayor Sevindi stated, ‘Reporting the deficiencies seen by our fellow citizens will empower us to advance our working conditions in a more coordinated manner. There may be deficiencies that we cannot see. In this regard, you can reach out to us day and night at any time you want. Amasya belongs to all of us, we all live here. If we can leave beautiful works to our children, who are our future generations, we will be very happy. This imposes great duties on all of us. The satisfaction of our citizens is very important to us. We must make intense efforts together to introduce this city to the world.’ Sevindi emphasized that they will strive to take Amasya to better places, ‘Without ever straying from the responsibility of our city, without indulging in ourselves, we will work with all our might to beautify this city without compromising in health, education, culture, art, employment, and social justice. Our main duty is to serve the people of this city without discrimination. We are just at the beginning of the road. We have a lot of work to do. Our job is not to fight, our job is peace. For the city alliance, we must take steps to enlarge this unity and solidarity. We will work with all our might to make our city an exemplary city in the region indicated in terms of infrastructure, superstructure, and its ancient people in the future. I sincerely thank all the elders who have served Amasya from the past to the present without discrimination, and I thank from the heart to my fellow citizens who will support us on this path we have taken.’
