President Başdeğirmen donates to the Religious Affairs Foundation for sacrificial donation

The Mayor of Isparta, Şükrü Başdeğirmen, made a sacrificial donation through proxy to the Presidency of Religious Affairs Foundation (Türkiye Diyanet Vakfı) for Eid al-Adha. The proxy donation of Mayor Başdeğirmen was received on behalf of Türkiye Diyanet Vakfı by the Provincial Mufti Muharrem Biçer. Türkiye Diyanet Vakfı is accepting proxy sacrificial donations domestically and internationally this year under the theme ‘Share Your Sacrifice, Get Closer to Your Brother’. Mayor Şükrü Başdeğirmen made a sacrificial donation through proxy to Türkiye Diyanet Vakfı. The proxy donation of Mayor Başdeğirmen was received on behalf of Türkiye Diyanet Vakfı by the Provincial Mufti Muharrem Biçer. Providing information about Türkiye Diyanet Vakfı, Provincial Mufti Muharrem Biçer stated that the Foundation has been continuing its services since 1975. Biçer mentioned that one of these services is the sacrificial organization through proxy, saying, ‘Our Foundation continues this service today in the world geography, from Latin America to Central Asia, from the Balkans to the Caucasus, reaching the remote corners of Africa. Last year, it carried out over 750,000 sacrificial organizations through proxy, delivering them to needy Muslims around the world, to our brothers. Today, we visited our esteemed mayor, our state leaders have always supported our Foundation and have contributed through the Presidency of Religious Affairs. Today, I thank our esteemed mayor for supporting our sacrificial organization through proxy.’ Mayor Şükrü Başdeğirmen thanked the Provincial Mufti Muharrem Biçer for accepting the sacrificial donation through proxy on behalf of Türkiye Diyanet Vakfı. Mayor Başdeğirmen said, ‘We would be pleased if citizens who want to make sacrificial donations and are outside the city and country support Türkiye Diyanet Vakfı’s sacrificial slaughtering organization through proxy in cooperation with our Provincial Mufti.
