DENIZLI (İHA) – The teams that ranked in the Streets Are Ours Football Tournament organized under the leadership of the District Governorship and Municipality of Beyagac in Denizli were awarded in a ceremony held. Beyagac District Governorship, Beyagac Municipality, Pamukkale University Faculty of Sports Sciences, and Youth and Sports District Directorate cooperated in the ‘Streets Are Ours’ project, which was implemented within the scope of a futsal football tournament held excitement came to an end. The tournament, where 8 teams competed and lasted for 5 days in the district, concluded with the final and third-place matches. In the final of the tournament, Yeni Fatih Mahallesi Seferogullari Spor, who defeated their rival Eskere Orman Spor 6-4, became the champion of the Streets Are Ours Football Tournament. In the third-place match, Kizilcaagac Mahalle Spor, who defeated Sazak Mahalle Spor 9-6, became the owner of the 3rd place cup. Trophies and medals were presented to these teams that ranked in the top 4 in the tournament by the District Governor Unsal Emre Citci, Beyagac Municipality Mayor Sezayi Putun, Youth and Sports District Director Omer Yasin Kocalar, Eskere Forestry Enterprise Director Umit Gokce, District National Education Director Durmehmet Kisa, and protocol members at the ceremony held. Congratulating the athletes who added color to the tournament, Beyagac Municipality Mayor Sezayi Putun said, ‘Sports means friendship and brotherhood. We see our youth as the energy of today and the guarantee of tomorrow. It is a great responsibility for us to keep our young people away from bad habits, to raise young people who love their country and nation, who embrace their values, and who stand up to all kinds of struggles. We will continue to work day and night, produce projects for our young people. As the municipality, we will be at the service of young people and athletes.’
