President Gökhan Yüksel was elected to the SODEMSEN board

Kartal Municipality Mayor Gökhan Yüksel has been elected as a member of the Board of Directors of the Social Democratic Public Employers Union (SODEMSEN). Speaking at the congress where the names to lead the union until 2027 were determined by attending the Extraordinary General Assembly Meetings of the Social Democratic Municipalities Association (SODEM) and the Social Democratic Public Employers Union (SODEMSEN), Mayor Yüksel said, ‘The new period in which our joint projects will increase with the cooperation among social democratic municipalities is auspicious for all of us. Our winning cities will be the result of our coordinated efforts.’
The 3rd Extraordinary General Assembly of the Social Democratic Public Employers Union (SODEMSEN) was held at Zübeyde Hanım Social Facility of Çankaya Municipality in Ankara. The personnel to serve until 2027 were determined at the extraordinary congress. With the election, 9 members of the Board of Directors, 3 members of the Supervisory Board, and 3 members of the Disciplinary Board were determined. Kartal Municipality Mayor Gökhan Yüksel was also elected as a member of the Board of Directors.

Kartal Municipality Mayor Gökhan Yüksel, Odunpazarı Municipality Mayor Kazım Kurt, Çankaya Municipality Mayor Hüseyin Can Güner, Kırıkkale Municipality Mayor Ahmet Önal, Bilecik Municipality Mayor Melek Mızrak Subaşı, Seyhan Municipality Mayor Oya Tekin, Sarıyer Municipality Mayor Mustafa Oktay Aksu, Bornova Municipality Mayor Ömer Ekşi, and Gazipaşa Municipality Mayor Mehmet Ali Yılmaz were elected as new members of the board of directors.
Founded in 2011, the Social Democratic Municipalities Association (SODEM), with 96 members representing approximately 23 million people, held its Extraordinary General Assembly Meeting at Zübeyde Hanım Social Facility of Çankaya Municipality.
