Kocasinan Municipality Mayor Ahmet Çolakbayrakdar held a consultation meeting with deputy mayors and unit directors within the scope of the Presidential Circular No. 2024/7 on Savings Measures signed by President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan.

Kocasinan Mayor Ahmet Çolakbayrakdar held a consultation meeting with deputy mayors and department heads within the scope of the Presidential Circular No. 2024/7 on Savings Measures published with the signature of President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan. Mayor Çolakbayrakdar stated that they have witnessed a historic period with the savings of becoming a ‘Self-Sufficient Municipality’ by having a few aggregate production facilities, asphalt plants, recycling facilities, vehicles that are first in Turkey, workshops, and disciplined work, and they will continue to adhere to savings and use our resources in the most correct way in the future. Speaking at the meeting held in the Municipality Council Hall, Mayor Çolakbayrakdar expressed that they have made a significant contribution to creating a ‘self-sufficient city’ through services provided in all areas from urban transformation to asphalt plants, from ancestral seed production to nurseries, from workshops to Kocasinan Academy. Emphasizing that they are increasing the standards of being able to be a ‘self-sufficient municipality’ every day, Mayor Çolakbayrakdar said, ‘Cities will manage their own destinies in the future. In this sense, the projects we carry out to protect our country and our city are very important and valuable.’ Highlighting that they are one of the few municipalities in Turkey in terms of savings and disciplined management in all areas, Mayor Çolakbayrakdar continued his words as follows: ‘As Kocasinan Municipality, we are consulting on what we can do as much as possible within the scope of the circular. There are 11 different headings in the circular: acquisition of real estate, communication, assignment of personnel, press-publications, stationery, representation, ceremonial hosting, personnel expenses, personnel service, and other issues outside of these. We are evaluating the savings measures to be taken in areas concerning our municipality and services provided to the citizens. Especially thanks to the disciplined implementation of the savings measures we apply, we see that our municipality has come to an important point in its efforts to become a ‘Self-Sufficient Municipality.’ This is truly a great value for us and our institution. Our main goal is to continue in this way in the future. However, there are issues that we need to regulate internally. By taking the necessary measures within the framework of the circular, we will continue our work. On the other hand, we will continue our efforts to provide public services to citizens without interruption, even to provide better quality services. We will meet the expectations of the citizens in terms of municipal services at the optimum level by using resources in the most appropriate way. We have been successful in delivering services to the citizens in the most suitable way so far with our established facilities, equipment, machinery, and disciplined personnel management. Our savings of becoming a ‘Self-Sufficient Municipality,’ the point brought by our work in quarries, asphalt plants, recycling facilities, workshops, and other areas, and the disciplined work within the municipality have significant value. In the future, prioritizing our work within the scope of the circular, we will evaluate the methods of using public resources most effectively. Congratulations. We will continue to increase our efforts to deliver services to the citizens in the best possible way.’ Mayor Çolakbayrakdar concluded his words by stating, ‘All our efforts are to create physical environments where our citizens can be more peaceful and happier. With the work we will do, we will offer a more livable Kocasinan for our fellow citizens.’
