The President of Ankara Health Tourism Federation, Prof. Dr. Aysun Bay Karabulut, stated that they would like to collaborate in health tourism with the Republic of Kenya. The President of Ankara Health Tourism Federation, Prof. Dr. Aysun Bay Karabulut, and her delegation visited the Ambassador of the Republic of Kenya in Ankara, Leonard N. Boıyo, at his office. During the visit, Prof. Dr. Aysun Bay Karabulut provided information about ASATUF, stating that ‘ASATUF, headquartered in Ankara, conducts activities related to bringing patients from abroad to our country for medical treatment and managing the treatment processes of incoming patients.’ Prof. Dr. Aysun Bay Karabulut expressed their intention to collaborate in health tourism between Turkey and the Republic of Kenya, saying ‘We aim to work on developing health tourism between Kenya and our country. For this purpose, we want to collaborate with Kenya Republic in the field of health tourism through agreements we have made with thermal hotels and hospitals in our country. We also aim to promote medicinal plants in Kenya. Therefore, Ankara Health Tourism Federation, with the support and contributions of the Republic of Turkey, aims to organize online and physical business forums and conferences in the field of health tourism in collaboration with the Embassy of the Republic of Kenya in Ankara by 2024 to contribute to health tourism. We will visit Kenya Republic with a large delegation of Turkish companies in the health sector, and we will make bilateral agreements. During my visit to Kenya two years ago, I closely observed the health issues in Kenya. Therefore, the existing collaboration between the Republic of Turkey and the Republic of Kenya should be further strengthened. We are ready to undertake any kind of work, including educational programs in the health sector. We would be delighted to see you and your esteemed diplomats at the ASATUF Headquarters as soon as possible.’ Ambassador Leonard N. Boıyo of the Republic of Kenya in Ankara expressed his great pleasure in hosting the ASATUF delegation at their embassy, stating ‘Both countries can implement many projects together in the field of health tourism. ASATUF can provide training in health tourism. We would like to develop and strengthen cooperation with Turkey in the field of health tourism. Similarly, we would like to enhance our cooperation in the field of Alternative Medicine. For this purpose, as the Embassy of the Republic of Kenya in Ankara, we would like to visit the ASATUF Headquarters as soon as possible.’
