AK Party Member of Parliament for Malatya, Inanç Siraç Kara Ölmeztoprak, stated that earthquake-damaged Malatya could be rebuilt with unity and solidarity, emphasizing that the ongoing urban planning and reconstruction efforts in the city are carried out through common sense and consultations.

AK Party Member of Parliament for Malatya, Inanç Siraç Kara Ölmeztoprak, provided information to the craftsmen and NGO representatives he visited about the urban planning works ongoing throughout the city, while listening to their demands and requests. Starting the day by participating in the evaluation meeting of the Provincial Health Directorate, MP Ölmeztoprak said, ‘After the earthquake disaster on February 6th, we all witnessed how strong the healthcare infrastructure in Malatya is, and our investments to further strengthen this infrastructure have been ongoing without interruption. Since the devastating earthquakes centered in Kahramanmaraş that shook Turkey, healthcare services in Malatya have been continuously provided without any interruption since February 6, 2023. Some hospitals that were partially damaged in the earthquakes have been renovated and presented to our citizens in a stronger and more aesthetically pleasing appearance after the repairs. Although we have a strong healthcare infrastructure in our city, we have accelerated our efforts to increase healthcare investments throughout the region. We will make every effort to raise the service quality in the healthcare field in Malatya, which is the region’s healthcare center.’

Following the meeting, Ölmeztoprak visited the Orphan Caravan Solidarity and Assistance Association, the Tailors Chamber, the Shoemakers Craftsmen Association, the Grocers Craftsmen Association, and the Temporary Trade Market together with AK Party Provincial Board Member Ilhan Doğan. During the visits, Ölmeztoprak emphasized that the urban planning and reconstruction efforts ongoing in the city are being carried out through common sense and consultations. Later, MP Ölmeztoprak met with the residents of Fatih Neighborhood together with the delegation accompanying him, listening to the demands of the local people.

‘For our Palestinian brothers, Muslims are standing up’

MP Ölmeztoprak also attended an event organized by the Malatya Gaza Volunteers Association, stating, ‘The genocide that has been taking place in Gaza since October 7 has led to the killing of tens of thousands of people, mostly children and women, and constitutes one of the gravest violations of international law. For our Palestinian brothers living in inhumane conditions, Muslims are standing up for all kinds of support, assistance, solidarity, and prayers. Hopefully, under the leadership and protection of our President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan, Turkey is a state that provides the most humanitarian aid to Gaza, intervenes in the International Court of Justice for Gaza, and raises the issue of genocide in Gaza to the entire world, trying to heal wounds and stop the bloodshed. Our stance against genocide, as mentioned in the verse ‘Hold firmly to the rope of Allah all together and do not become divided,’ is a requirement of our humanity, conscience, and faith. With hope for steps that can lead to salvation, let us pray with perseverance, support with determination, and strive with effort.’
