The concert of the marching band in Bayburt raised national and spiritual feelings
A concert was organized in Bayburt by the 3rd Army Regional Band Command within the framework of May 19th Youth Week. Due to adverse weather conditions, the concert, consisting of 11 pieces including marches and folk songs performed by the band team, was held at the Indoor Sports Hall.

Due to adverse weather conditions, the concert, consisting of 11 pieces including marches and folk songs, was organized at the Indoor Sports Hall. Under the command of Colonel İbrahim Aygören, the band team performed marches and songs that stir national and spiritual feelings, which are known by heart by everyone from ages 7 to 70. The audience in the hall sang along with the marches and songs. Following the songs and marches, the poem ‘Whose Homeland Is This’ by Orhan Şaik Gökyay was recited by the band soloist. At the end of the greatly admired poem, the audience gave a standing ovation to the band team.
Bayburt Governor Mustafa Eldivan, who thanked the band team for raising national and spiritual feelings and creating beautiful moments, said, ‘I thank the 3rd Army Command in your presence. I also thank our esteemed fellow citizen, Minister of National Defense Yaşar Güler, separately. Last week, we watched the concert of the Mehter Band of the Ministry of National Defense. Now, we listened to the concert of the 3rd Army Regional Command. They all honored us with their presence and performances. They raised our national and spiritual feelings and provided us with beautiful moments. Through you, I extend my greetings to the Turkish Armed Forces, all soldiers, all Mehmetçiks from Bayburt. May God not let any harm come to you, may your paths and fortunes always be open. I salute you all, saying let our crescent-starred flag always wave’.
Following Governor Eldivan’s speech, Garrison Commander Colonel Gürol Akkaya also thanked the 3rd Army Regional Command Band Team for their concert. After the speeches, plaques were presented. Bayburt Governor Mustafa Eldivan, Garrison Commander Colonel Gürol Akkaya, and Band Team Leader Colonel İbrahim Aygören were presented with plaques in memory of the day. The concert program ended with a group photo.
