Uşak University will host the 5th International Staff Week between May 27, 2024, and May 31, 2024. This year, 38 academic and administrative staff members from 21 universities in 21 countries will participate in the International Week. The activities within the organization will provide an opportunity to enhance the strength of international collaborations.
Prof. Dr. Ekrem Savaş, the Rector of Uşak University, stated in regards to the International Week event, ‘This year’s event, which we will hold for the fifth time, is of great importance in order to strengthen international collaborations and increase cultural interaction. Uşak University is delighted to host all our international partners in the best way possible and to carry out this important event. Through this event, by sharing knowledge and experiences with academic and administrative staff from different countries, we further broaden our university’s academic vision and strengthen our collaborations.’
The opening ceremony will take place on Tuesday, May 28.
The program will commence on May 27, 2024, Monday, with the reception of the participants by Rector Prof. Dr. Ekrem Savaş at Uşak University campus, followed by the ‘International Student Meeting’ on the same day. On May 28, Tuesday, the opening ceremony will be held in the main hall of the Recep Tayyip Erdoğan Congress and Culture Center with the participation of the Uşak Province protocol. During the opening ceremony, Prof. Dr. Emir Kaya from Ankara Social Sciences University and Prof. Dr. Ahmet Nuri Yurdusev from Middle East Technical University will each give a lecture.
On the third day, promotional activities of the guest universities will be carried out. Starting with presentations introducing the guest university representatives’ institutions, the event will continue with an Ebru Art Workshop.
Additionally, on May 30, a trip to Blaundus, Ulubey Canyon, a Museum visit, and a Jereed show will take place within the event program. On the last day of the program, a day trip to Pamukkale will be organized.
