MHP Chairman Bahçeli: ‘There is no account that the Nationalist-Ülkücü Movement cannot give’

Nationalist Movement Party (MHP) Chairman Devlet Bahçeli stated, ‘No one has a past and temperament as honest, balanced, consistent, and sincere as to remind us of justice and law. Indeed, there is no account that the Nationalist-Ülkücü Movement cannot give.’ MHP Chairman Devlet Bahçeli attended an Educational Program for the Provincial Presidents of Idealist Hearths held at a hotel in Kızılcahamam district of Ankara. Expressing that Idealist Hearths uphold the rights, people, and truths, MHP leader Bahçeli said, ‘Those who are disturbed by the struggle of Turkish nationalism based on faith, morality, love of country and nation rooted in the Turkish-Islamic ideal and raise the bar of lies and slander are natural. If someone is intimidated by your existence, arrows of discord and mischief are constantly aimed at you, and if there is an attempt to pressurize and besiege you, know that your path is right, and your way ahead is clear. Just do not weaken your unity and integrity. Just do not compromise on your stance, sentiment, and determination. Idealist Hearths have been subjected to many unjust and shameless accusations since their establishment. As someone who has been raised in Idealist Hearths, I am certainly a witness to everything. However, reminding a forgotten truth is also a duty of a cause. Idealist Hearths are an impregnable fortress of the Turkish nation, an unbreakable castle wall, a symbol of heroism that cannot be surrendered.’
‘No one is honest enough to remind us of justice and law’ ‘When we look at those who queue up to denigrate Idealist Hearths, those who treat them as a criminal organization, those who strive to cast a shadow over their sacred existence, we see the purpose and quest of all,’ said Bahçeli. ‘Idealist Hearths and the Nationalist Movement Party, which rise like a wall of faith and will before those who are eager to export global and regional crises to Turkey, bewildering the evil circles, all the allegations and accusations regarding us are beneath our feet. There is no need to be immoderate and angry in the face of developments. Reason, determination, morality, understanding, and patience are our sole goal to serve the nation. In the end, the Nationalist-Ülkücü Movement, together with the People’s Alliance, carries the esteemed hopes of the Turkish nation on its shoulders. No difficulty should stop you. Regardless of how great the threat is, how close the danger is, whatever the obstacles may be, the consciousness of national responsibility we carry requires us to suppress our excitement and anger. ‘Neither the Nationalist Movement Party nor Idealist Hearths can be someone else’s sandbag’ Speaking about the 6-8 October events case recently concluded, MHP leader Devlet Bahçeli noted, ‘Applauding and recklessly supporting terrorists who killed 37 people during the 6-8 October events, making slanderous statements based on social media lies and street rumors is not a moral and decent attitude. In Turkish state tradition, there is no place for oppression, as expressed by the saying ‘When oppression enters through the door, honor exits through the chimney.’ Neither the Nationalist Movement Party nor Idealist Hearths can be someone else’s sandbag. On the contrary, it is a child’s play for us to intervene, confuse the minds of those who do not have the will to transcend themselves, to bear the consequences, to show the ability to stand behind their beliefs, and to have the determination to defend their faith. Without the will to transcend oneself, without being willing to pay the price, without showing the ability to stand behind one’s beliefs, reaching the level of being a man of cause is a raw dream, judging by our experiences so far. Idealist Hearths, as a witness to decades that seem like a century every day, are fervent lovers of the Turkish nation within the years that flow like a spirited river. Idealist Hearths are not the kind of people who hide when things get tough. Idealist Hearths are not a refuge for empty-headed, incompetent, greedy individuals who have submitted to worldly interests and undergone root and identity mutations due to ambition for position and money. Idealist Hearths are a sense of belonging that we will carry throughout our lives in our thought and mindset. I remind those who are without nationality and queue up to lynch nationalism that nationalism is the name of the spirit that has ensured our existence for thousands of years. Nationalism is the name of the mission that saved our country from imperialism. Nationalism is the name of the consciousness that established our state. In the past, when no one wanted to appear as a nationalist, we were nationalist and existed. Today, in a period where everyone claims to be a nationalist, we are still here and present. Tomorrow, even when there are no political clowns who change color according to the course and enterprising shapes, we will still exist and be here.’
