Full support from Erdemli Municipality for international project

Erdemli Mayor Mustafa Kara, who hosted the rectors coming to Mersin for the international symposium, said, ‘We will implement basic oratory training programs with correct and effective Turkish, especially in terms of preserving our language in the world of our youth.’ The theme of SIRCON 2024, aiming to prepare an important research and discussion ground for many economic, social, cultural, and historical issues along the Silk Road axis, titled ‘Silk Road and Beyond Congress Series: One Road One Belt: Language, Human Capital, and Cultural Heritage,’ was held in Mersin. The symposium, held at Mersin University Prof. Dr. Uğur Oral Cultural Center, saw participation from universities in Turkey and Turkish Republics. After the symposium, the guests from the Turkish Republics were hosted by Erdemli Mayor Mustafa Kara and Mersin University Rector Prof. Dr. Erol Yaşar at Erdemli Municipality Talat Göktepe Nature Park. The rectors made speeches at the program. Uzbekistan Rector Prof. Dr. Muhammadismoil Mahmudov, at the end of the program, presented traditional Uzbek attire Copan and Doppi as gifts to Mayor Kara and Mersin University Rector Prof. Dr. Yaşar.
Expressing that they will carry out studies to protect our language and culture, Erdemli Mayor Mustafa Kara stated, ‘We will implement basic oratory training programs with correct and effective Turkish, especially in terms of preserving our language in the world of our youth. In this sense, we will protect our language and culture, take very serious steps.’ Mersin University Rector Prof. Dr. Erol Yaşar, expressing his satisfaction with Erdemli Municipality organizing such a program, said, ‘By developing language unity and cultural unity, we aim to contribute to the development of all kinds of fields commercially. Today, we thank and express our gratitude to Erdemli Mayor who hosted us here.’
Uzbekistan Alfraganus University Rector Prof. Dr. Muhammadismoil Mahmudov, expressing their love for the Turks as Turkish Republics, said, ‘Such beautiful collaborations continue. We, Central Asian Turks, always love other Turkish people from Turkey.’ The program, attended by Mersin University Rector Prof. Dr. Erol Yaşar, Necmettin Erbakan University Rector Prof. Dr. Cem Zorlu, Uzbekistan Alfraganus University Rector Prof. Dr. Muhammadismoil Mahmudov, Aksaray University Rector Prof. Dr. Alpay Arıbaş, Uzbekistan Bukhara Innovation University Rector Prof. Dr. Dilnoz Ro’ziyeva, Uzbekistan-Finland Pedagogy Institute Rector Prof. Dr. Shaxzoda Negmatova, Osmaniye Korkut Ata University Rector Prof. Dr. Turgay Uzun, Hatay Mustafa Kemal University Rector Prof. Dr. Veysel Eren, ended with a group photo.
