Kartal Municipality Mayor Gökhan Yüksel met with the Turkey Football Federation 2023-2024 Season U-18 Turkey Champion, Kartalspor U-18 team players. Kartal Municipality Mayor Yüksel, meeting with young athletes at Kartal Municipality Social Facilities Jupiter Planet Cafe, expressed his happiness for the pride that the young Kartalspor players, whose jersey he once wore, bring to Kartal today. Mayor Yüksel shared his own football memories and experiences with the young athletes, listened to their successes and goals. In the 2023-2024 Football Season, among 1500 teams nationwide, 24 groups centers, after eliminations in 76 provinces, Kartalspor U-18 team players, who made it to the top 4 and defeated Orduspor 1967 A.Ş. team 1-0 in the final, met with Mayor Yüksel and had a long conversation. ‘We will never leave the stars of the future alone.’ Mayor Gökhan Yüksel, congratulating the young athletes’ championship, stated that Kartalspor’s young talents are the pride of the district, ‘Your successes make us very happy. You have made us proud, and you have dispersed the dark clouds over us. There is great effort and dedication behind this success. Our meeting will not be limited to this. In our meetings on the sports fields, we will discuss what we will do. We have a facility that needs to be renewed. Sports instills discipline and team spirit, and by embracing these values, you will achieve great success.’ The young athletes thanked Mayor Yüksel for his support and expressed that they will do their best to reach their goals. Mayor Yüksel emphasized that he is always with the athletes and that Kartal Municipality will continue to work for the development of sports and athletes. This meeting provided moral and motivation to the young athletes while underlining the importance given to sports in the Kartal district.
