President Yazıcıoğlu: ‘With change, Tokat Municipality is everywhere’

Mayor of Tokat, Mehmet Kemal Yazıcıoğlu, visited the family whose wooden house in Örtmeliönü Neighborhood became uninhabitable after a fire broke out. Mayor Mehmet Kemal Yazıcıoğlu stated that the first intervention to the fire was quickly carried out by the Tokat Municipality Fire Department teams, preventing a major disaster, and assured that the grievances in the neighborhood will be resolved shortly. He also mentioned that efforts are ongoing to repair the water mainline breakage that occurred at night in Örtmeliönü Neighborhood. Mayor Yazıcıoğlu emphasized that along with change, Tokat Municipality is swiftly present in all regions of Tokat. In a statement to the press regarding both the fire incident and the water mainline breakage, Mayor Yazıcıoğlu said, ‘Around 09.00 – 09.30, a fire broke out in a house in Örtmeliönü Neighborhood, and our Fire Department teams quickly intervened. I congratulate our fire brigade for preventing a bigger disaster. Although the neighborhood residents experienced some inconvenience, we, as Tokat Municipality, will quickly address this grievance. Tokat is an ancient and historical city, and we need to act swiftly in this regard. As we mentioned before the elections, we will demonstrate this fast determination in all our neighborhoods. We are also continuing our efforts with all infrastructure teams to quickly repair the water mainline breakage that occurred in the same neighborhood at night. I have been in constant contact with the headman of Örtmeliönü Neighborhood, Nurettin Çelik. I thank all our valuable team members who worked throughout the night. Tokat Municipality is present everywhere. We will continue to reach our citizens in every aspect, quickly addressing any shortcomings and providing all municipal services to their homes.’
