President Gokce to the trainees: ‘We will contribute these valuable works to the economy’

Derince Mayor Sertif Gökçe, who attended the year-end exhibition of DER-MEK, stated, ‘In the upcoming period, we will improve the number of our courses and the physical facilities of our centers. Most importantly, we will increase sales points to contribute these valuable works to the economy.’ Derince Municipality Vocational Training Center (DER-MEK) and Public Education Center Directorate organized the year-end exhibition. The year-end exhibition held at Yenikent Cultural Center witnessed colorful scenes.
“A strong society is only possible with strong women”. Speaking at the program, Derince Mayor Sertif Gökçe said, ‘Before the elections, I visited all DER-MEK centers and saw the potential in our courses. Today, after seeing this crowd and excitement here, I once again realized that we have much more work to do with DER-MEK. We saw once again what our valuable women, who pride us with their unique handicrafts, are capable of when given the opportunity. In the upcoming period, we will improve the number of our courses and the physical facilities of our centers. Most importantly, we will increase sales points to contribute these valuable works to the economy. We need to introduce what we produce to the economy through cooperatives and by organizing exhibitions in many places. Because I believe that a strong society is only possible with strong women. The strength of a woman comes from her economic independence, education, and contributions to society.’
“If our women are strong, our family is strong”. Derince District Governor Mustafa Demirelli stated, ‘If our women want, they can achieve and obtain what they desire. If our women are strong, our family is strong; if our family is strong, our state and society are strong. Through the courses, I congratulate Derince Municipality for the contributions made by the trainees, instructors, Public Education Directorate, and the cooperation in opening DER-MEK courses.’ Following the protocol speeches and performances, the exhibition, which was opened, will be open for 3 days.
