Festive Spirit at Hünkar Çayırı

The Sports and Entertainment Festival held in Gebze took place at the historical Hünkar Çayırı. Fun moments were experienced at the festival organized for special children. Under the leadership of Gebze Municipality in collaboration with Istanbul Rumeli University, special children who participated in the festival had a day full of fun and educational activities organized specifically for them. Speaking at the event, Gebze Mayor Zinnur Büyükgöz stated, ‘Our friends, based on the experience of last year, organized an even more beautiful organization this year. Hopefully, if we can bring a drop of love, respect, and happiness to their hearts today, we consider that there is no greater profit than this. Hopefully, the third edition will be held next year. It truly pleases us to see our children happy here today and witness their happiness.’ Hasan Soba, Deputy Mayor of Kocaeli Metropolitan Municipality, expressed their efforts to serve the citizens in the best way possible, saying, ‘We are working tirelessly day and night for you. Both as Gebze Municipality and Kocaeli Metropolitan Municipality, we are making efforts to provide the best for you. I thank Rumeli University for their support and contributions, and also Gebze Municipality for organizing such valuable events every week.’ Children who participated in activities such as horse riding, paravolley, goalball, amputee football, archery, arm wrestling, survivor course, empathy course, bocce, foot billiards, scientific tests, combat sports, traditional games at the festival had a fun day.
