Children’s parks and tartan tracks are being repaired

Izmir Metropolitan Municipality is renewing the ground surfaces of parks for children to play safely and for the public to engage in sports comfortably. As part of the works, the rubber surfaces of the play equipment that were damaged in many districts of the city have been completely renewed, while the tartan track at Hasanağa Garden was also repaired. Izmir Metropolitan Municipality initiated ground repair works in parks all around the city to ensure safety and comfort. Within the scope of the planned works, teams of Izmir Metropolitan Municipality Parks and Gardens Department are renewing the rubber surfaces of children’s play areas and repairing the damaged sections of the tartan tracks used for sports. In the course of the works, a local repair work was carried out on the 1155-meter section of the tartan track in Hasanağa Garden, located in the heart of Buca, where thousands of citizens, especially young people, use it for sports every day. The repair of the inside of the basketball and football fields in Buca Murathan Neighborhood, the tartan ground of Buca Deniz Gören Park, and the tartan walking track in Buca Yedigöller has been completed. This way, accidents while exercising have been prevented for the citizens. Children’s parks are now safer and more aesthetic. In addition to the tartan tracks, the rubber surfaces that were damaged for children to play safely in parks have been completely renewed. The ground renovation of various parks such as those along the IZBAN railway line in Karşıyaka, Volkan Vedat Akay Park, parks in front of cafes in Alaybey, Cigli IZELMAN Sabiha Gokcen Kindergarten Park, Bayrakli 75th Year Neighborhood Park, Bornova Aşık Veysel Area children’s playground, Buca Kemal Sunal Park, 1081 Street Corner Park, parks in front of cafes in Konak Göztepe, Narlidere Istihkam Lojmanlari Park, Mahmut Turkmenoglu Park, and Menemen Gazi Neighborhood Park has been completed, giving the parks an aesthetic appearance. It was reported that repair and renovation works will continue.
