Among the diseases that adversely affect our eye health are diabetic retinopathy (vision loss due to diabetes) and hypertension. Vision loss in diabetic patients can be much higher compared to normal individuals. Usually, these patients should stay away from sugar, avoid fatty foods, and prefer fibrous foods. Generally, night vision may be less in the community. The reason for this may be a deficiency of vitamin A or zinc. To prevent this, foods containing vitamin A should be preferred. Carrot is one of the foods containing vitamin A that strengthens our eyes and enables us to see more clearly. Consumption of spinach, cabbage, oranges, and yellow-colored fruits enhances night vision.’

People who consume fruits regularly every day can reduce vision loss in old age and have stronger and clearer eyes. Nutrition is very important, but if you have any complaints about your eyes, you should definitely consult an eye doctor.
