Visit from the Iran Trade Delegation to Eskişehir Chamber of Commerce

Erzurum Chamber of Commerce and Industry (ETSO) hosted a trade delegation from the city of Qazvin in Iran. The 10-person delegation led by Ehsan Babaei, Board Member of Qazvin Chamber of Commerce and Industry and Chairman of the Industry and Mining Commission, was welcomed at ETSO. During the meeting, the two sides discussed opportunities for enhancing trade relations and cooperation between Erzurum and Qazvin.

Erzurum Chamber of Commerce and Industry (ETSO) hosted a trade delegation from the city of Qazvin in Iran. The delegation of 10 people, led by Qazvin Chamber of Commerce Board Member and Industry and Mining Committee Chairman Ehsan Babaeı, was welcomed at ETSO by Vice Chairmen of the Board Serhat Kılıç and Muharrem Özdemir. The Iranian delegation also included Jafarallah Verdıha, Board Member of Qazvin Chamber of Commerce, Industry, Mining, and Agriculture, and Chairman of Energy and Petroleum Products Committee, Hosseın Amıdı, Head of Qazvin Province Representation of Iran’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs, as well as business people from various sectors and relevant bureaucrats from public institutions in Qazvin. ETSO Board members; Haşim Koç, Murat Gacıroğlu, and Tamer Sırmacı, along with the Chairman of TOBB Provincial Young Entrepreneurs Board İsmail Suci and the Chairman of TOBB Provincial Women Entrepreneurs Board Kübra Alioğulları, accompanied the guest trade delegation in a meeting held at the ETSO Board Room. In his opening speech, ETSO Vice Chairman Serhat Kılıç expressed his condolences for the death of Iranian President Ebrahim Raisi in a helicopter crash and emphasized the importance of strengthening cooperation between Erzurum and Iran to increase trade. Kılıç mentioned the key sectors of Erzurum’s economy and highlighted the need to enhance collaboration in banking, transportation, contracting, and mutual investment areas to further develop trade between the two countries. He underlined that cooperation between companies in Qazvin and Erzurum would contribute to the trade of both countries. Qazvin Chamber of Commerce Board Member and Industry and Mining Committee Chairman Ehsan Babaeı also spoke at the meeting, providing information about Qazvin’s economy and potential sectors. Babaeı expressed their interest in establishing partnerships with companies in Erzurum and exploring business opportunities in potential sectors. He mentioned that Qazvin, with a population of 1.3 million, is home to approximately 4,000 businesses and is the seventh largest industrial province in Iran. Babaeı stated that the main exported products include chemical products, glass, white goods, and automotive spare parts, with the most produced items being ceramics, detergents, base oils, and paraffin. During the meeting, the delegations from ETSO and Qazvin Chamber of Commerce discussed potential actions to enhance commercial relations between the two cities. Following the meeting where ETSO Vice Chairman Serhat Kılıç presented a plaque to Qazvin Chamber of Commerce Board Member and Industry and Mining Committee Chairman Ehsan Babaeı in memory of the visit, the delegations took a group photo together.
