10-year-old earthquake victim student Azra Rabia Kaçar, who lives in the district of Dörtyol in Hatay, became a source of hope for her family by achieving a perfect score of 500 in the scholarship exam. Kaçar, who took the exam by studying in the tent in their backyard to stay away from noise and commotion, received praise for her success. After the earthquakes centered in Kahramanmaraş caused severe damage, the healing process continues in Hatay. Azra Rabia Kaçar, a 5th-grade student at Mehmet Akif Middle School in Dörtyol district of Hatay, managed to score a perfect 500 in the Primary and Secondary Education Institutions Scholarship Exam. With her achievement, Azra, who scored 500 full points, brought hope to her family affected by the disaster. The successful student Azra was awarded a Certificate of Excellence and books by the District Directorate of National Education.
Azra Rabia Kaçar, who stated that she prepared for the exam in a tent in their backyard to stay away from noise and her family, said, ‘I am very happy, it was my dream anyway. This success was my goal, and I told my family and teachers right after I found out. I couldn’t check the system because it wasn’t open, and when the deputy principal called me, I learned about it. My only dream is to become a software engineer. I studied in the tent to stay away from noise and my family. I have cats, and I am happier with them. I am always in the tent except when I am at school. Your teachers and family are doing everything they can, and all I have to do is read books regularly and study regularly,’ she said.
‘We normally live in a rented house, but we set up the tent left from the earthquake in our garden’ Azra’s mother, Saime Kaçar, mentioned that her daughter prepared for the exam in the earthquake tent in their backyard to study in a quiet environment, saying, ‘We are very happy, as a family, it’s indescribable happiness, may God grant it to everyone. Azra is actually a conscious student, and thanks to her teachers, they guide her, and we continue our path with what they say. We normally live in a rented house, but we set up the tent left from the earthquake in our garden. Azra wants order in a quiet environment. That’s why she studied in the tent to read books and especially to prepare for the scholarship exam. We left Azra there, and she is studying. Always calm and quiet, she has two kittens, and she is even happier with them,’ she expressed her feelings.
