President Yalçın: ‘We will asphalt 28 kilometers of road this year’

In the investment program of Kayseri Organized Industrial Zone (OSB) for the year 2024, asphalt works will once again be one of the services that will receive the largest share, just like the previous year. Approximately 28 kilometers of roads within Kayseri OSB will be completely asphalted and renewed in the year 2024. President Mehmet Yalçın of Kayseri OSB, who made a statement regarding the issue, stated that after the needs assessment for the year 2024 conducted by the Department of Public Works, the investment program for asphalt works was prepared. President Yalçın mentioned, “In the roads within Kayseri OSB, we will continue our asphalt renewal works in 2024, similar to the approximately 19 kilometers of asphalt renewal we carried out in 2023. In these days when we have left the winter months behind, we will start our asphalt renewal works on approximately 28 kilometers of roads that are needed and included in the planning in a short time.” President Yalçın also said, “We will carry out our asphalt works, which are again an important item in our 2024 investment program. We aim to use 80,000 tons of asphalt to renew our approximately 28 kilometers of roads included in the 2024 program. We expect the cost of this investment to be approximately 150 million TL. We are conducting a meticulous work in the tender processes and material supply points in order to keep this figure lower and achieve savings.” Mehmet Yalçın, the Chairman of the OSB Board of Directors, emphasized that with the completion of the asphalt works in 2024, they will have renewed nearly half of the road network within Kayseri OSB. President Yalçın stated that they aim to increase comfort on the roads in Kayseri OSB after their planning, and added that they attach great importance to road renewal in order to minimize accidents.
