President Altay invited all sports fans to the Konya Half Marathon
As part of the Sport Konya Project by Konya Metropolitan Municipality, the International Konya Half Marathon, which will be held for the third time this year, will make Konya beat with sports. Konya Metropolitan Municipality Mayor Uğur İbrahim Altay expressed that the marathon will bring together athletes from different countries and contribute to the promotion of Konya. The event aims to promote sports and a healthy lifestyle in the city.

Within the scope of the Sports Konya Project organized by Konya Metropolitan Municipality, the third International Konya Half Marathon will be held this year, and the heart of Konya will beat with sports. Konya Metropolitan Municipality Mayor Uğur İbrahim Altay reminded that the excitement of the 3rd International Konya Half Marathon will take place on Sunday, May 26 in Konya, which has become a city of sports with major events and sports infrastructure.
Mayor Altay invites all sports fans to the event. Mayor Altay mentioned that participants in the sports event they organize to promote healthy living and sports will have the opportunity to discover Konya’s historical and cultural beauties this year as well, just like in previous years. He stated, ‘We were going to transfer the registration fees to SOBE, DOSD, and Karatay Alzheimer Day Care Center this year, but due to the events in Gaza, we will use all our revenues this year to meet the needs of our brothers in Gaza. In this way, all participants will be a part of goodness. I invite all sports enthusiasts to register for the International Konya Half Marathon and be part of this excitement’.
The Half Marathon and 10-Kilometer Race will start from MKM, and the Public Race will start from Kültürpark. This year’s third edition of the event, organized within the framework of the Sports Konya Project, will take place in three different categories: a 21-kilometer Half Marathon, a 10-Kilometer Race, and a Public Race. The Half Marathon will start at 09:10 in front of the Mevlana Cultural Center of the Metropolitan Municipality, the 10-Kilometer Race will start at 09:15. The Public Race will start at 13:30 from Kültürpark.
