President Arslan stated, ‘We continue to walk in the footsteps of Atatürk’

Mayor of Çameli, Cengiz Arslan, released a message on the occasion of May 19th Commemoration of Atatürk, Youth and Sports Day.

In his message, Mayor Arslan stated; “May 19th Commemoration of Atatürk, Youth and Sports Day celebrates the day when the founder of the Republic of Turkey, Mustafa Kemal Atatürk, landed in Samsun to initiate the National Independence War and also symbolizes his trust in the youth. Youth is the future of our country, and with each new day that rises on their shoulders, we step closer to the bright tomorrows of our nation. On this special day, I would like to emphasize once again our trust in the youth. You, our valuable young people, will shape the future of our country. A youth equipped with knowledge, dedication, and love for the homeland will contribute to Turkey’s successes in every field.

Today, we continue to walk in the footsteps of Atatürk on the lands where the national struggle began. We commemorate our martyrs and veterans who entrusted us with this homeland with gratitude. We bow in respect before their sacred memories and promise not to forget the values that made these lands our homeland.

Celebrating May 19th with enthusiasm is also an opportunity to emphasize the importance of sports and healthy living. Sport is the foundation of a healthy body and mind. Therefore, encouraging our youth to engage in sports and instilling the habit of sports is of great importance. On this meaningful day, I sincerely congratulate all the residents of Çameli on May 19th Commemoration of Atatürk, Youth and Sports Day, and wish them health, happiness, and successful days.
