Uşak Municipality’s Youth Festival organized in honor of May 19th Commemoration of Atatürk, Youth and Sports Day started with a colorful procession including various groups and continued throughout the day with various activities. At Atapark, the walk accompanied by the marching band started, and President Yalım was joined by Akademi Uşak Education and Art Platform Team, City Orchestra, Uşak Municipality City Theater actors, model vehicle convoy, Özlem Karate Sports Club, Uşak Municipality Women’s Football Club, Uşak Sports Infrastructure Teams, Uşak Municipality Archery Club, Yeşil Pedal Bicycle Group, Batı College Marching Band and many citizens. The walk, in which hundreds of people participated holding Turkish flags, created a human flood, turning the entire city red and white. Following the procession, President Yalım gave the opening speech at the event area, saying, “Dear youth, thanks to you, this blessed day gifted to us by our Great Leader Mustafa Kemal Atatürk will be even more beautiful than ever. I wish you to have fun to your heart’s content and enjoy a pleasant time in this beautiful festival, welcome all.” Throughout the day at the festival area, exciting sports shows took place, and thanks to the playgroups set up, young people and children had a great time. Moreover, the entertainment continued without slowing down thanks to the amusement park set up in the area, reaching its peak with President Yalım being personally present among the youth. With the stands set up in the area, citizens had the opportunity to both shop and taste delicious delicacies. The Uşak City Orchestra took the stage first at the festival. The orchestra members provided a music feast to the audience with their unique interpretations, magnificent voices, and quality music. The star of the night was the Old Boys group, shaking the festival with an 80s 90s concept. The group, by reinterpreting unforgettable songs, took festival-goers on a journey through time, completing their performance with songs sung by thousands of young people in unison. At the end of the concert, Uşak Mayor Özkan Yalım presented various gifts to the famous musicians and thanked them for their participation.
