Excitement of May 19th at the Metropolitan Municipality

Antalya Metropolitan Municipality Mayor Muhittin Böcek laid a wreath at the Atatürk Monument in front of the Metropolitan Municipality Service Building in honor of May 19th, Commemoration of Atatürk, Youth and Sports Day. Mayor Böcek stated, ‘We will continue to walk on the path of Atatürk with our youth.’

Antalya Metropolitan Municipality organized a ceremony in front of the municipality service building in honor of May 19th, Commemoration of Atatürk, Youth and Sports Day. The ceremony was attended by Antalya Metropolitan Municipality Mayor Muhittin Böcek, Secretary General Cansel Tuncer, ASAT General Manager İbrahim Kurt, Assistant Secretary Generals, department heads, municipal police officers, ASAT personnel, Antalya Metropolitan Municipality Sports Club athletes, and Metropolitan Scouts. The ceremony began with laying a wreath at the monument of the Republic’s founder, Mustafa Kemal Atatürk. Following a moment of silence, the National Anthem was sung accompanied by the Antalya Metropolitan Municipality Band (ABBO). After the wreath-laying ceremony, Mayor Böcek sang the anthems with the youth.

‘We will continue to walk on the path of our ancestors with the youth’
Antalya Mayor Muhittin Böcek extended greetings for May 19th, Commemoration of Atatürk, Youth and Sports Day, saying, ‘Exactly 105 years ago, we celebrate a special day that led to the establishment of our Republic, where the torch of freedom and independence was lit with the arrival of our ancestor in Samsun. I commemorate with respect, gratitude, and longing our leader Mustafa Kemal Atatürk, his comrades in arms, our heroic veterans, and all our martyrs. Atatürk entrusted this holiday to our youth by saying, ‘O rising generation, the Republic was founded by us, but it will be exalted and sustained by you.’ We took an oath to walk on the path of the man with blue eyes together with our youth, and we will continue to walk without deviating from his path.’
