The Environmental Festival (ÇEVŞEN’24) was organized by the ESTU Environmental and Sustainability Club and the Department of Environmental Engineering. The festival, held in front of Espark Shopping Mall, was attended by the Rector of Eskisehir Technical University, Prof. Dr. Adnan Özcan, Vice Rector Prof. Dr. Onur Kaya, Dean of the Faculty of Engineering Prof. Dr. Hanife Apaydın Özkan, Head of the Department of Environmental Engineering Prof. Dr. Aysun Özkan, and academic staff. Rector Prof. Dr. Özcan visited the stands set up during the festival and gathered information about workshop activities, club initiatives, and industry meetings. This year’s 12th edition of the event, organized with a consciousness of environmental awareness, featured workshops, club and company stands, as well as projects such as ‘Green Collars of the Future’ and ‘My Water Footprint,’ led by the faculty members of the ESTU Department of Environmental Engineering and supported under the TUBITAK 4004 – Nature Education and Science Schools Support Program. Activities such as paper recycling workshop, compost workshop, leather workshop, badge workshop, macrame workshop from waste fabric, bag making workshop from waste fabric, perfume workshop, kraft workshop, ceramic workshop, photography workshop, painting activities with children, and children’s face painting workshop were carried out at the event, with children showing great interest in the workshops. The festival hosted performances by students from the National Will Primary School and concerts by the music groups Zeplin, Daddy and Clementine, and Exit, providing participants with enjoyable moments. The ÇEVŞEN 2024 event, held in the city center, welcomed over 8,000 participants.
