Antalya protocol issued a message on the occasion of May 19th Commemoration of Atatürk, Youth and Sports Day. Antalya Governor Hulusi Sahin stated, ‘I believe that our youth will walk confidently towards our goal of ‘Turkey Century’.’ Governor Hulusi Sahin, who stated that May 19th is the first step taken by the Turkish Nation towards independence, said, ‘The first step taken by the founder of our Republic, Mustafa Kemal Atatürk, who said ‘The integrity of the homeland, the independence of the nation is in danger’, turned into a great struggle crowned with victory under the slogan of ‘Independence or Death’. Undoubtedly, the secret of our noble nation overcoming death once again and gaining its independence, breaking the chains of captivity intended to be imposed on our paradise homeland forever, is the first step taken with high belief, determination, and resolve on May 19th, 1919, and this secret has been conveyed to our greatest strength, our youth, as the May 19th Youth and Sports Day.’
‘With the goal of ‘Turkey Century’.’ Sahin expressed his belief that the youth will walk confidently towards the goal of ‘Turkey Century’ without compromising on independence. He stated, ‘I believe that our youth will embrace this secret with high belief, work without compromising on independence; by achieving success in every field from science, art, technology to sports, they will walk confidently towards our goal of ‘Turkey Century’. With this belief; I commemorate with mercy and gratitude all the heroes of our independence struggle, starting with the founder of our Republic, Mustafa Kemal Atatürk, as well as all the martyrs and veterans we bid farewell to eternally. I congratulate the 105th anniversary of Atatürk’s landing in Samsun, the first step of the establishment of our Republic, the slogan of our independence struggle, and our May 19th Commemoration of Atatürk, Youth and Sports Day with my heartfelt wishes.’

Candir: ‘The youth strengthening the Turkish economy will elevate the Republic of Turkey to the level of contemporary civilizations’ Ali Candir, the Chairman of the Board of Directors of Antalya Commodity Exchange (ATB) and Antalya Agricultural Council (ATAK), stated in his message, ‘Our country with a population of 85 million, 15% of which is composed of young people. The youth who embrace and defend the fundamental values of the Republic, who are educated, who believe in democracy and the rule of law, who follow the world, who strengthen its economy with its potential and resources, will elevate the Republic of Turkey to the level of contemporary civilizations. For this, a serious policy change should be made in some areas, especially in education, and projects should be developed. Our ancestor also expressed his belief in the youth by saying ‘O rising new generation. You are the future.
