The earthquake that occurred in Hatay had devastated many families. As a result of earthquakes centered in Kahramanmaraş, the Seyyar family living in the Çekmece Neighborhood of the Defne district in Hatay also faced a great disaster. 16-year-old Yeliz Seyyar was seriously injured as she was trapped under the rubble.

Jaw Injury and Treatment Process

Yeliz, who suffered bone loss in her jaw as a result of the blow she took to her head during the earthquake, has been unable to speak for months and unable to move her jaw. After the treatment process at the hospital, she started living with her family in the container city in the Antakya district. However, one of the most basic needs of the young girl, which is nutrition, is provided by her mother using a syringe.

Mother’s Longing and Wishes

Dedicated mother Fatma Seyyar prays for her daughter to recover her health and be able to lead a normal life. Her greatest wish is for her daughter to be able to say ‘mom’ to her and hug her.
