Zeytinburnu Municipality Book Reading Contest Awards Found Their Owners

The winners of the Book Reading Competition organized by Zeytinburnu Municipality Information Houses and Youth Center for the 18th time received their awards. In order to encourage reading books at Zeytinburnu Municipality Information Houses, starting from primary school students and including middle school, high school students, and adults, the Traditional Book Reading Competition, which is organized for the 18th time this year, was held. In the book reading competition where 7,617 people applied, the students who ranked received their awards. Istanbul Governor Davut Gül, Zeytinburnu District Governor Adem Uslu, Zeytinburnu Mayor Ömer Arısoy, teachers, students, and citizens attended the award ceremony held at Zeytinburnu Culture and Art Center.

Mayor Arısoy: “We Fulfill It with a Sense of Duty”

Speaking at the event, Mayor Ömer Arısoy said, “We do all of these with great pleasure, satisfaction, and a complete sense of duty. I thank the great Zeytinburnu family that has allowed the municipality to be managed with the same understanding in Zeytinburnu, making it possible for this competition to reach the number 18. I express my gratitude to the great Zeytinburnu family that repeated this on March 31st.”

Governor Gül: “Reading Books is a Virtuous Job”

Speaking at the event, Istanbul Governor Davut Gül said, “Zeytinburnu is one of the districts where culture and art are prominent. Many good things are being done in Zeytinburnu, but the best among them are the works related to culture, art, and literature. You know, it is said that the greatest reward is for a person to be granted a virtuous job. Reading books and encouraging reading books are virtuous deeds. The greatest reward is for this to be granted to the students, parents, teachers, and organizers.”
