Vigil for the Homeland with the Same Love as the First Day
The self-sacrificing stories of those who stand guard for their homeland with the same passion as the first day. The epic struggle of hearts overflowing with love for the motherland awaits you in this documentary.

Erdem Feyzi, a 34-year-old mother of 4 living in Bingöl, continues to perform her security guard duties with the same excitement and love as the first day she started 8 years ago. Working as a security guard attached to the Bingöl Provincial Gendarmerie Command Ekinyolu Outpost, mother Erdem Feyzi takes care of both household chores and her children before coming to duty. Taking care of everything from her children’s meals to their homework at home, mother Erdem Feyzi periodically goes to the outpost, puts on her uniform, and then goes to the guardhouse.
Grew Up Intertwined with Terror Incidents
Stating that they lost martyrs both in their village and among close relatives due to terrorist incidents at a young age, Erdem Feyzi mentions that she decided to become a guard after the events. ‘I was very young, there was terrorism. None of us could go out comfortably. We had many martyrs in our village. We lost a martyr from my cousin’s side. I constantly thought about this at that time; it doesn’t work without our soldiers, police, and security guards,’ she said.
Love for Family and Country
Expressing that her husband always supports her, mother Erdem Feyzi said, ‘I applied 8 years ago and was accepted as a village guard. I have been in this profession for 8 years, going to my shifts. As a mother of 4, the way I lovingly care for my children, I serve my country and nation in the same way. I am with my children at home, then I go to duty. I love my country as much as I love my children,’ she said.
