The Provincial Director of National Education in Mersin, Fazilet Durmuş, visited the Silifke Nuclear Energy Vocational and Technical Anatolian High School, which was established in the field of Turkey’s first nuclear power plant, Akkuyu Nuclear Power Plant. Durmuş stated that 55 students are studying at the only Silifke Nuclear Energy Vocational and Technical Anatolian High School in Turkey.

Students Were Assigned Tasks Within the Scope of the ‘Our School is Entrusted to the Youth’ Project

The students of Silifke Nuclear Energy Vocational and Technical Anatolian High School were assigned tasks for a day within the framework of the ‘Our School is Entrusted to the Youth’ project. Durmuş and accompanying individuals were welcomed at the school entrance by students who were performing the duties of School Principal and Assistant Principals for a day.

Evaluation of Students’ Skills and Future Projects

The Provincial Director of National Education, Durmuş, moved to the principal’s office and received information about the school from the student Cemre Nur Çevik, who was the principal for a day, and Assistant Principals Orkun Alatepeli and Ece Karipoğlu. Later, she moved to the classrooms, listened to the history teachers Ali Mavi and Rauf Bora Keskin giving lessons, and addressed the students.

She said, “Our children who graduate from this school will reflect their lives in the civilization that starts here to the world, contributing to the advancement and development of civilization even further.”
