As part of the 2024 operation training activities of the Naval Forces Command, Minister of National Defense Yaşar Güler arrived in Muğla to observe the Denizkurdu-2/2024 Exercise, which is taking place at the Marmaris Aksaz Naval Base between May 7-18, 2024. Minister Güler was welcomed by Muğla Governor İdris Akbıyık and force commanders at Dalaman Airport.
Details About Denizkurdu-2/24 Exercise
A total of 15,000 personnel will participate in the exercise, including 100 surface vessels, 8 submarines, 39 aircraft, 16 helicopters, 28 unmanned aerial vehicles, 7 unmanned maritime vehicles, 2 Special Amphibious Assault Teams (SAT) each consisting of 8 individuals, and 3 Special Air Service (SAS) teams each consisting of 5 individuals. In addition, the newly introduced Marlin UCAV and 6 kamikaze Albatros UCAV will participate in exercise activities for the first time. The exercise will also see the participation of strike aircraft, airborne early warning and control aircraft, target towing aircraft from the Air Force Command, and 6 coast guard boats from the Coast Guard Command.
