In a fashion show organized for animals disabled as a result of various accidents in Ankara, our disabled friends appeared on the runway accompanied by models.

What Happened at the Fashion Show?

In the event organized with the support of many associations in Ankara, under the slogan ‘Let’s Not Have Disabilities’, 8 dogs and 2 cats took the stage in specially designed outfits. Disabled animals walking with models received great attention from the participants.

The Story of Kozmo

Veterinary Technician and Physiotherapist İbrahim Enes shared the story of the dog ‘Kozmo’ adopted by the clinic, narrating his treatment and rehabilitation process. Enes, mentioning that it was enjoyable to participate in the event, expressed that the needs of disabled animals would be met with the donations collected.

İbrahim Enes: “Kozmo is the dog of our clinic. ‘Kozmo’ was two months old and couldn’t walk when he came to the clinic. The owner dropped him from his arms. After applying the necessary treatments, ‘Kozmo’ is now walking healthily. He continues his life and can hold his toilet. It was a nice event. A bit like a gathering of disabled animals. The needs of disabled animals will be met with the money collected here.”

Yasemin Kalkan and Toprak

Yasemin Kalkan, who has been involved in animal care since 2016, participated in the fashion show and shared the story of the disabled dog named Toprak. Describing the sadness she felt when she saw Toprak at the Hatay shelter, Kalkan brought him to Ankara. Explaining the reason for her participation in the event with emotional ties, Kalkan aimed to draw attention to the difficulties faced by disabled animals.

Yasemin Kalkan: “I have nearly 20 children under my care. Toprak is one of them. I wanted to participate in such an event with him. When we visited the Hatay shelter on the anniversary of the earthquake, I saw him among the Kangals. He looked very sad and unhappy there. He was among very big dogs. I couldn’t bear it because of his disability, so I took him with me to Ankara when we returned together.”

The donations made at the fashion show will support the treatment processes of disabled and sick animals.
