Emine Erdoğan, the wife of President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan, met with mothers from various cities of Turkey at the State Guest House on Mother’s Day. Minister of Family and Social Services Mahinur Özdemir Göktaş also attended the event.
Program Details
During the closed-door event, Emine Erdoğan and Minister Göktaş listened to the problems of mothers and celebrated Mother’s Day. The program included mothers of martyrs and veterans, mothers of disabled children, foster mothers, and elderly mothers.
Message from Emine Erdoğan
Emine Erdoğan addressed the mothers, saying, “For centuries, I liken our civilization, which has embraced all of humanity without any language, religion, or race discrimination, to a mother’s heart the most.” She also sent greetings to Palestinian mothers and all mothers around the world.
