Elazığ residents going to Hajj were bid farewell with prayers

The first two groups of 358 people were accompanied by approximately 2,000 people with an organization by the Presidency of Religious Affairs.

Farewell Ceremony Held at the Airport

A program was organized at the airport by the Elazig Provincial Mufti’s Office for the first two groups of 358 people who will go to the holy lands with the organization of the Presidency of Religious Affairs. Prayers were recited at the airport before the journey.

The Elazig Governor Assoc. Dr. Ömer Toraman and the Provincial Mufti Irfan Üstündağ bid farewell to the pilgrims who will go to the holy lands, along with thousands of people.

Pilgrims Experienced Emotional Moments

Emotional moments were experienced during the farewells of the pilgrims who have been waiting for years to go to the holy lands. Tears flowed as they bid farewell to their families.

Provincial Mufti Irfan Üstündağ: “To bid farewell to our pilgrims in such a collective way, to share their feelings, to watch, is truly a beautiful feeling. I wish our pilgrims to have a blessed pilgrimage at the end of a beautiful journey.”

Pilgrim Maksut Baykara: “We are very happy, very excited. There cannot be a greater excitement, joy beyond this. It is my first pilgrimage, and I am going with my wife.”

Pilgrim Osman Gür: “We are very happy right now. This year, the pilgrimage registrations were successful. They will go to the holy lands. I have been waiting for 9 years, there is a great bitterness, but we are happy for them.”

Pilgrim Ramazan Koçpınar: “Expressing their happiness, they prayed.”
