The distinguished observer day of the SEA WOLF-II/2024 Exercise conducted in the Eastern Mediterranean by the Naval Forces Command has ended. Frigates, assault boats, submarines, auxiliary class ships, mine ships, and patrol ships participated in the exercise. The ships departing from Aksaz Port in Marmaris district of Muğla carried out operations in accordance with various scenarios.

Exercise Details

  • 2 SAS commandos intervened and destroyed a mine dragged by the Tactical Claw operation.
  • AH-1W helicopters conducted fire on targets on the enemy island’s shores, followed by SAS commandos shooting and destroying the target.
  • Armored Amphibious Assault Vehicles (ZAHA) from TCG Anadolu landed on the island, captured it, and raised the flag.
  • Operations were carried out on the target using Unmanned Maritime Vehicles (UMV).
  • Shots were fired from TB-2 Bayraktar UAVs and other systems developed with national capabilities.
  • Material transfer was made from TCG Burgazada and TCG Büyükada ships to TCG Salihreis.

In this breathtaking exercise, various ships, helicopters, and unmanned vehicles cooperated in a coordinated manner to destroy the designated targets according to the scenario.

Distinguished Observer Day and Participants

18 military attachés from Germany, Azerbaijan, Belgium, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Bulgaria, Finland, Georgia, Iraq, Japan, TRNC, Libya, Malaysia, Nigeria, Portugal, Sierra Leone, Jordan, and Yemen attended the distinguished observer day of the exercise. The Minister of National Defense, Chief of the General Staff, Commander of the Naval Forces, and other force commanders also attended the briefing held on TCG Salihreis Ship.
