Bull for Sacrifice Offered for Sale at 750,000 TL
Raised by Barış Demir in the Yazlık Neighborhood of the Serdivan district, the 4-year-old giant bull ‘Paşa’ has reached 1 ton 600 kilograms. The Demir family, who have been in animal husbandry for three generations, put ‘Paşa’ up for sale for 750,000 TL before the Feast of Sacrifice. This price is competing with the prices of second-hand cars.
“Our Bull Doesn’t Fit on the Scale”
Barış Demir stated that they have been in animal husbandry for three generations, saying, “We really enjoy doing this job. Raising a giant bull like ‘Paşa’ is a truly difficult and costly process. Our bull, which consumes over 10 kilograms of feed daily, does not fit on the scale. This situation creates some difficulties in determining the price of the bull.”
Demir said, “We have not shown ‘Paşa,’ which we put up for sale with a price tag of 750,000 TL, to anyone yet. Such giant animals are rare in our country. We are waiting for the right buyer. The person who will buy ‘Paşa’ will do so by seeing the weight on the scale. We will also support the buyer during this process and make the delivery,” he said.
