A sentimental ceremony was held in front of the stairs of the Honor Gate of the Grand National Assembly of Turkey for Bekir Aksoy, former State Minister and former Member of Parliament for Çorum in the 20th and 21st terms. The ceremony was attended by MHP Leader Devlet Bahçeli, Deputy Speaker of the Grand National Assembly Celal Adan, former CHP Leader Kemal Kılıçdaroğlu, Ankara Governor Vasip Şahin, former Speakers of the Grand National Assembly, former Ministers of Interior, Members of Parliament, and the family of the late Aksoy.
Aksoy’s life and services were recounted, followed by a moment of silence and prayers by the participants. The funeral prayer will be held at Kocatepe Mosque following the noon prayer. Finally, Bekir Aksoy’s funeral will be laid to rest at Gölbaşı Cemetery.
MHP Leader Bahçeli and former CHP Leader Kılıçdaroğlu stood side by side at the ceremony, emphasizing unity and solidarity by standing together.
