Wheat Harvest with High Yield in Kozan

The wheat harvest, which started this year in the district of Kozan in Adana, was welcomed with a high yield that pleased the farmers. The first harvest took place and the producers were very satisfied with the yield.

It is expected that the price of wheat, which was sold for 7-8 TL per kilogram last year, will be 11-12 TL this year. Farmers from Kozan are very hopeful and happy about this situation.

Muzaffer Bozol, who started the wheat harvest, obtained a good yield from the cultivation he did on 100 acres of land. Bozol said, ‘This year, we obtained a yield of 670 kilograms. Prices were low last year, but our expectations are higher this year. Intermittent rains were beneficial for wheat, and a fruitful season awaits us,’ he said.
