According to the statement made by the Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality Disaster Coordination Center (AKOM), heavy rainfall is expected throughout Istanbul over the weekend. The system expected to be effective until Sunday morning is stated to be accompanied by gusty winds in some areas.
According to the AKOM data of the Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality Disaster Management Department, intermittent rainfall is expected in Istanbul starting from the evening hours. Due to this weather system, it is warned that the wind will occasionally blow in the form of a storm (40-70 km/h) and heavy rainfalls may be observed throughout the city. Temperatures are predicted to range between 14-18 degrees.
On the other hand, it is stated that the air temperatures in Istanbul will be close to seasonal norms until May 14, and between May 15-25, temperatures are expected to be 1-3 degrees above the seasonal norms.
