Statement by Vice President Cevdet Yılmaz

Vice President Cevdet Yılmaz stated during the Investment Environment Improvement Coordination Board (YOİKK) meeting that investors in the country will focus on the trust environment and financial stability. He emphasized that efforts will continue to improve the investment environment and increase employment.

Ministers Attending the YOİKK Meeting

Justice Minister Yılmaz Tunç, Minister of Transport and Infrastructure Abdulkadir Uraloğlu, Minister of National Education Yusuf Tekin, Minister of Environment, Urbanization, and Climate Change Mehmet Özhaseki, Minister of Treasury and Finance Mehmet Şimşek, Minister of Industry and Technology Mehmet Fatih Kacır, and Minister of Labor and Social Security Vedat Işıkhan attended the meeting. Various topics were discussed during the meeting.

Progress on the YOİKK Action Plan

Vice President Yılmaz announced that some of the 57 actions in the YOİKK Action Plan disclosed to the public in March 2024 have been completed and provided information on ongoing efforts. Completed actions include changes related to the Personal Data Protection Law and strategic prioritization efforts for long-term investment loans.

Key Investment-Focused Reforms

Yılmaz, evaluating the developments in the YOİKK Action Plan and upcoming reforms, mentioned that they will address the transformation of vocational and technical education with a focus on the private sector. Emphasizing the importance of vocational education and employment policies, he shared goals of developing qualified human resources and increasing employment.

International Investment Advisory Council Meeting

Yılmaz announced plans to organize an Investment Advisory Council meeting in September to provide an international perspective on the efforts to improve the investment environment. He expressed their focus on establishing a trust environment in the country and supporting sustainable growth. New investment strategies will be discussed with international participants during the meeting.
