The Turkish Language Day and Yunus Emre Commemoration events, organized for the 747th time in Karaman this year, started enthusiastically. The events began with the protocol members visiting the tomb of Yunus Emre at Yunus Emre Mosque in Karaman after Friday prayers.
Karaman Governor Hüseyin Engin Sarıibrahim, AK Party Karaman Deputy Selman Oğuzhan Eser, Karaman Mayor Savaş Kalaycı, department heads, political parties, and representatives of civil society organizations showed great interest in the tomb visit. After the visit to Yunus Emre’s Tomb, prayers were made accompanied by recitation of the Quran.
Today’s events will include a Poetry Concert, a Mixed Exhibition, and the opening of the Photo Exhibition of Turkic World Cultural Capitals by TURKSOY. Participants will have the opportunity to get to know Yunus Emre’s immortal works and Turkish culture more closely through the events.
