The teams of Şırnak Provincial Security Directorate Traffic Department set up a traffic track in the courtyard of the Security Directorate as part of the Traffic Week celebrations. A student who is a traffic police officer fined a driver who did not give way to pedestrians.
Practical Training at the Traffic Track
As part of the Traffic Week celebrations in Şırnak, students learned traffic rules practically at the traffic track set up in the courtyard of Şırnak Provincial Security Directorate. After explaining the traffic rules, the Traffic Department teams allowed students to take the wheel.
Student Serving as a Traffic Police Officer
Students who stopped at red lights waited for pedestrians like 40-year-old drivers when they arrived at the pedestrian crossings. A student serving as a traffic police officer warned a driver who did not give way to pedestrians that he would issue a fine. The driver apologized and promised to abide by all traffic rules from then on, thus avoiding the fine.

During the program, the Class 2 Security Directorate Deputy Chief Dr. Osman Akçay, responsible for traffic, made statements to journalists, emphasizing the importance of children learning traffic rules at an early age.
