Rose Harvest Intensity in Adana

Rose producers in Adana are experiencing a busy harvest period ahead of Mother’s Day. Roses, which are sold for 3 liras per stem on the branches in the rose greenhouses in the city, are being collected and sent to florists and online sales platforms. Florists point out that there is a great sales potential for Mother’s Day.

Prices Rose, Then Fell

Among the reasons behind the intense harvest in the rose greenhouses in the Yüreğir district of Adana are the rise in temperatures up to 35-40 degrees and the ripening of the roses. Prices hit rock bottom due to the hot weather. Evaluating the decrease in greenhouse prices, producers state that roses, which were sold for 20-30 liras in February, have now dropped to 3 liras.
