In a stream located in the Alıncık village of Sivrice district in Elazığ, the endangered yellow-spotted salamanders created a rare sight. These sensitive creatures, emerging after heavy rains, are at risk due to habitat loss.

Yellow-spotted salamanders are creatures that generally feed on snails and small caterpillars, preferring aquatic areas in their natural habitats. This special species, protected under the ‘National Biological Diversity Inventory and Monitoring Project’ initiated by the Ministry of Agriculture and Forestry in 2015, continues its life in delicate ecosystems.
